Yoga Classes Proven To Help Cancer Patients

With it being breast cancer awareness month, a lot of articles are being published about the effectiveness of yoga combined with treatments to help cancer patients in spiritual, physical and emotional ways. Medically proven benefits include easing stress, helping patients sleep better (reducing the amount of sleep medication needed) and improve the general quality of life. On the Stanford cancer centre website it reports that yoga “as a complementary therapy” has also been shown to relieve various symptoms associated with cancer. While it doesn’t heal cancer, it is scientifically proven to help in many ways of getting through the process of recovery, offering peace of mind to patients going through a traumatic time.
